For some, it’s their favorite time of year,

And others, it’s their credit card bills…

Now me, just memories and a family tradition,

Nights I can reminisce my father trippin,

Because I wanted it all,

He hated them seasonal Toys “R” Us catalogs,

Or that JC Penny’s 400-page book of a mall,

But now it’s memories, and sometimes a tear,

Because the Santa who made ‘my’ this time of year,

Once left just before Christmas was near…
