If and when I tell you I love you, I’m being honest about the trust in me, for you, through us.

If and when I tell you I love you, I’m exposing how vulnerable I feel because I’ve put trust in you, for us, through me.

If and when I tell you I love you, understand that I haven’t fallen, but I’ve chosen to rise in love….

….by launching my emotions of hope, granting my wings of faith to glide me so that we fly as beautifully as the butterflies you’ve landed.

And so, if and when I tell you I love you, we should recognize love’s void between us. For me, it’s the anticipation of your response. For you, I can’t speak for….

But that’s the trust I’ve put in this voyage of love through the butterflies we’ve launched.

While some fear love’s bliss because they don’t trust the darkness, those who overcome the fear become reflections of butterflies.
