I felt this, my well,
This time is different,
America’s summer,
It hits so different,
When June is a bummer,
You lie in a slummer,
Awaiting those months,
July is for lovers,
Beach with a swing,
You throttle—you coddle,
Then look by the water,
You swing her—you oughta,
But August—it’s hotter,
Don’t show her an otter,
It’s sweet and you’ll mar her,
You’ll spoil…
Now lost her,
But left her—just swinging,
To fall for another,
Then swing back by water,
To be there,
Yet bothered…
