Last week in Kansas,

I ran around a lake and,

Got lost, mad and, got damned it,

It stormed that morning,

So I had to run through mud,

Got my shoes drenched in fudge,

Tried rubbing off on a rock but uhh,

A rock ain’t a rug——and,

Kansas doesn’t do dry rub…..

Tried rinsing off in a creek,

But then water soaked my feet,

Got tired by a tree,

Wiping mud with the leaves….

Got cold as you could see,

Soaking in my outer soles,

But I walked in my defeat,

With a bit of Kansas stuck on me,
